A truck driver who died in an accident on U.S. Highway 287 has been identified as Richard Burghardt of Aurora.
The accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. Monday in the Virginia Dale area of Larimer County, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Burghardt, 55, was driving a semi truck carrying mail for the U.S. Postal Service.
He died of blunt force trauma in the accident, the Larimer County Coroner’s Office said.
