PUEBLO—Police arrested four people early Sunday in two separate deadly shootings.

Richard Dean Whitlock, 65, died from multiple gunshots at his stepson’s home. The 46-year-old stepson, Bradley David Chandler, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder. No bail was set.

Chandler’s mother, 65-year-old Rochelle Rae Chandler, told investigators that Whitlock had been unfaithful to her and was going to leave town with another woman. She told investigators her son always defended her, according to an affidavit.

In the other case, Amanda Ann Sanchez, 26, died from a single gunshot wound to the chest after she had gone to pick up her mother from a party, police said.

When she arrived, her mother, Lillian Sanchez, was arguing with Alvin Rasha Lark, Mario Eugene Bonetta and Lark’s girlfriend, Liani Sandoval, police said.

Detective Scott Vahlbusch said at least five shots were fired, and Amanda Ann Sanchez was the only person who was hit.

Police arrested Lark, 24, and Bonetta, 21, on suspicion of first-degree murder. Sandoval, 20, was arrested on suspicion of complicity to first-degree murder.

Investigators were trying to determine who fired the fatal shot.

Bail for Bonetta and Lark was set at $500,000. Sandoval was being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
