HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo.—He may have been playing police officer to stop a prank but a 19-year-old is facing real charges, including felony false imprisonment, for allegedly handcuffing a teenager.

Jesse Archuleta of Highlands Ranch allegedly approached two teenagers who were waiting in their car as friends spread toilet paper early Sunday on a nearby lawn, Douglas County sheriff’s officials said in a statement.

Investigators said Archuleta handcuffed the male driver and ordered the others to clean up, then uncuffed the man and drove away.

Archuleta also faces charges of impersonating a peace officer and illegal possession of alcohol. He is free on $3,000 bail.

There was no phone listing for Archuleta and it was unclear whether he had retained an attorney.
