An inmate at the Boulder jail who tried to kill himself after being accused of driving away in a stolen ambulance died Tuesday.
Mickey Terry, 36, had tied a sheet to the top bunk and around his neck in his cell Friday. He was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
The Boulder County coroner said in a release Terry died early Tuesday morning.
Terry was arrested April 15. Police said he stole an ambulance as he was leaving a Lafayette hospital, then led a high-speed 13-mile chase before rear-ending a parked car and fleeing on foot.
