Classes have been canceled for the rest of this week at Bear Creek High School after a fire broke out about noon Tuesday, forcing students and staff to evacuate.
The fire broke out in the small gymnasium on the campus at 3490 S. Kipling St. in Lakewood, said Marlene Desmond, a spokeswoman with the Jefferson County School District.
There were no reports of injuries.
State-mandated ACT tests for juniors will be held at 7:30 a.m. today at Green Mountain High School, 13175 W. Green Mountain Drive in Lakewood. Kieran Nicholson, The Denver Post
