LAKEWOOD, Colo.—Firefighters have extinguished a blaze that broke out in a gymnasium at Bear Creek High School in Lakewood.

Jefferson County Public Schools spokeswoman Lynn Setzer says no one was hurt, although one student was treated for an unrelated asthma attack.

The fire broke out just before noon Tuesday in an area used for wrestling.

Setzer says the school was evacuated and classes were dismissed for the day.

West Metro Fire Department spokeswoman Michelle French says crews put the fire down in about 30 minutes.

The cause is under investigation.
