NEW YORK — As guest host of “Today,” first lady Laura Bush proved she can be as chatty and genial as the broadcast pros.
Even better, she demonstrated how to keep it under control Tuesday. In the company of the NBC morning show’s overeager veterans, Bush brought an air of restraint. In this unusual, much-promoted appearance, the first lady co-hosted the third hour of the four-hour “Today” sprawl, sharing her slot with Ann Curry and Al Roker. Her guest appearance was pegged to the publication of “Read All About It,” a new book she co-authored with her daughter Jenna. The Associated Press
