All lanes of southbound I-25 between Colorado 119 and Colorado 52 will be closed tonight at 9:30 for pothole repairs, CDOT said in a news release.
Work is expected to be completed by 5:00 a.m. Wednesday.
The Colorado Department of Transportation suggests drivers wishing to avoid delays avoid the area tonight by taking U.S. 85 or U.S. 287.
The main detour route will take drivers to the east frontage road, then south to Colorado 52 and back to Interstate 25.
If that becomes too congested, CDOT says drivers will be told to go west on Colorado 119 to Weld Country Road 7, County Line Road or U.S. 287 and then back to Colorado 52, where they can get back on southbound I-25.
