FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The Larimer County Sheriff’s Department says a deputy and her civilian passenger suffered minor injuries in a rollover.
Officials said Wednesday that Deputy Katie McMurray was on duty and responding to a domestic violence call in a patrol vehicle. The civilian was a candidate for a job with the department.
Investigators say McMurray was driving at about 40 mph in a 35 mph zone on a dirt and gravel road Tuesday night. They believe her tire hit a soft berm, triggering the rollover.
McMurray and the civilian, whose name wasn’t released, were treated and released.
The Colorado State Patrol decided against ticketing Murray. An internal sheriff’s department board will review the accident.
