Kids who want to go the extra mile for their schools will have the chance Sunday when Niketown in the Denver Pavilions hosts the third annual 5K and Let Me Play 1-mile kids run-walk event. The 5K starts at 8 a.m.; the 1-mile run-walk at 9 p.m. The entry fee of $15 will be donated to the school physical education, play or athletic program of the entrant’s choice. Those who pay an additional $5 will get a T-shirt. The top finishers in each age division receive awards, while all finishers get a medal and Nike gift bag.
