ELDORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The Boulder Sheriff’s office says two rock climbers were hurt when one fell 30 feet and landed on top of his climbing partner.
Boulder County Sheriff spokesman Bill Powers says one of the climbers in his 20s fell onto a rock ledge where his partner was helping with his rope. Powers says rescuers are working to get the men off the ledge. He says the age of the second man is unknown, as well as the extent of the pair’s injuries.
The man fell just after 1 p.m. Sunday at the Eldorado Canyon State Park.
