DENVER — Denver-based Frontier Airlines says it has disciplined two employees who allegedly made and displayed a noose to a black co-worker.
And Denver police have cited one worker for what they’re calling a “bias motivated crime.” Police ticketed 43-year-old Juan Sequeira for the incident that allegedly occurred April 15th in a break room at Denver International Airport.
Authorities say Sequeira showed the noose to the co-worker and said “Are you ready?” Frontier spokesman Steve Snyder says Sequeira, and an employee accused of making the noose, have both been disciplined — but he declined to specify what actions have been taken.
Snyder says the airline is “stepping up” diversity training for workers in the area where the noose incident allegedly occurred.
