GOLDEN, Colo.—Arson and criminal mischief charges have been filed against one of two 15-year-old boys suspected of involvement in a fire that forced the evacuation of a Lakewood high school and did an estimated $2.5 million in damage.

The boy, whose name hasn’t been released, was charged Tuesday as a juvenile The charges include first-, second- and fourth-degree arson. He is being held in a youth detention center. His next court appearance is May 14th.

The second teen hasn’t been charged yet. The district attorney has until June 11th to make a decision in that case.

The fire started April 22 in the gym at Bear Creek High School. No one was injured
