LONGMONT — Police say seven pipe bombs, a World War I-era anti-aircraft shell and material to make explosive devices have been found in a Longmont man’s home.
Authorities say 45-year-old Steven Wilson was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possessing explosive devices. Federal and local authorities neutralized the pipe bombs. A team from Fort Carson checked the anti-aircraft shell and said it was inert.
Police Sgt. Tim Lewis said an investigation into Wilson began after someone reported seeing the devices in his home. Police have talked to Wilson’s former employer after reports that Wilson made threats toward the employer.
Lewis didn’t know the employer’s name. He said Wilson is being held at Boulder County Jail.
