CALHAN — A 4-year-old boy found face down in a sandbox at a Calhan day care died of suffocation.
The El Paso County coroner’s office released autopsy results Monday in the death of Carl Anderson.
The boy died Thursday after a child-care worker discovered him face down in a sandbox at Calhan Children’s Center. Calhan Police Sgt. Steve Hannum said that Carl put his head in a 12- to 16-inch hole that another boy had dug.
