LOVELAND, Colo.—More than a hundred passengers on a flight back from Las Vegas had a landing to remember after their plane overshot the runway at the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport.
Passengers of the Allegiant Air flight say they smelled burnt rubber after the rough landing but no injuries were reported Sunday afternoon. Loveland Fire and Rescue spokesman Tye Drage says the plane missed the runway by about 10 feet.
He says the plane was evacuated before it was tugged back to the runway.
About 145 passengers were on the flight.
Allegiant spokeswoman Tyri Squyres says it appears the plane was not damaged. She says the company will investigate what happened.
It was about 90 minutes before passengers could get their luggage.
