BOULDER, COLO. — Boulder police say vandals did about $20,000 in damage at a national atmospheric research center when they broke out several big windows.
Investigators said Monday that vandals hit the campus of the National Center for Atmospheric Research and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in late April or early May.
Police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley says it’s the latest in a series of vandalism attacks at the campus since 2003 that left a total of 24 windows broken and cost the agencies $70,000.
Witnesses have told police they saw juveniles in the area with rock-slings, but officers haven’t been able to identify or contact the possible suspects.
