IGNACIO — Two men were killed when a car slid on a highway covered with hail and sleet and crashed into a vehicle coming from the other direction.
Antonio Martinez, 69, and Curtis Lagerstrom, 44, were killed in the 8:30 p.m. Friday accident on Colorado 151 near Ignacio, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Martinez was driving a white 1990 Chevrolet south on the highway when his car slid sideways into the northbound lane and was struck by a black 1995 Toyota T-100 pickup driven by Lagerstrom, the report says. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
