A bargaining team from the Denver’s teacher union and officials from the district will return to the negotiation table this morning in an attempt to reach an agreement in stalled contract talks.
The union and district are at an impasse over the contract, with the district offering to increase base pay and provide incentives.
The Denver Classroom Teachers Association will submit a counterproposal with more money dedicated to salary building rather than bonuses.
Union president Kim Ursetta said she is waiting to hear what the counterproposals are over time issues, peer assistance and reviews.
