Brian Furer, 33, is accused of trying to buy a gallon of the date-rape drug gamma-hydroxybutyrate, commonly called GHB, according to Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey.
Prosecutors believe Furer planned to resell the drug. Acting on a tip, narcotics investigators intercepted the shipment and made an undercover delivery last week to Furer’s Denver home, where he was arrested.
He is in the Denver County Jail under $250,000. His next court appearance is Friday.
