DENVER—A new 42-cent stamp featuring the Colorado state flag will be unveiled on Flag Day next week.
The Postal Service said Thursday the Colorado stamp is among 10 that will be issued on June 14. It shows the state flag alongside snowy peaks and evergreen trees.
Over the next three years, the Postal Service will issue 60 stamps with the flags of all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories, plus the U.S. flag.
The Colorado stamp will be formally issued during a ceremony at the state Capitol. Rep. Diana DeGette, D-Colo., and Lt. Gov. Barbara O’Brien are expected to attend.
The stamp will be sold at the capitol event and at post offices nationwide starting that day.
