WASHINGTON — The campaigns of Sens. Barack Obama and John McCain on Sunday rejected an invitation for a town-hall-style meeting in Manhattan proposed by ABC News and Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York. It would have been moderated by Diane Sawyer of “Good Morning America.”
The campaigns said they had agreed any meetings would not have an individual network or news organization as a sponsor.
