SYRACUSE, N.Y.—The man who led Syracuse to its only NCAA basketball championship is returning for an encore performance.
Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets will play an NBA preseason game at the Carrier Dome against the Phoenix Suns on Oct. 17. It will be the second exhibition game for Anthony in the dome since he turned pro after his freshman year.
Anthony was named most outstanding player at the 2003 Final Four.
Tickets go on sale Saturday morning.
