GREELEY, Colo.—Greeley Mayor Ed Clark says Leprino Foods has decided to build a new cheese factory in the city.
Clark said in a new release that Denver-based Leprino will open the new plant at the former Western Sugar Co. site.
City officials scheduled a news conference at 3 p.m. Friday to officially announce the news. It wasn’t clear how many jobs would be created.
Leprino makes mozzarella and pizza cheese and is a leading U.S. manufacturer and exporter of whey products.
