Looking for a way to jump-start summer activities with your children? Recreational Equipment Inc. again is offering its Kids’ Passport to Adventure. The program, geared to kids ages 5-12, encourages families to cycle, hike, camp, kayak and get involved in other outdoor activities. Through Labor Day, families can stop by any REI store to register and pick up an “adventure journal” filled with games, information and stickers to help guide them. Visit and click on Kids’ Passport to Adventure, where you also will find a list of kid-friendly hikes.
