Firefighters who responded to a blaze at a home in Brighton found a dead man and authorities suspect foul play.
Neighbors reported smoke coming from the house at 13444 Kennedy Ave. at around 4:15 a.m. this morning, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
“There are indications that this was a suspicious incident and we are processing it as a homicide,” said Adams County sheriff’s spokeswoman Candi Baker.
Authorities are searching for the victim’s 1989 maroon Chevy Custom van. The van has silver stripes on the sides and a Colorado license plate: SAB8853.
Anyone who spots the van should call 911 to report it, Baker said.
