A man jumped or fell from an upper floor of the 42-story Brooks Tower at 1020 15th St. in downtown Denver on Sunday.

College student Anthony Masini, who lives on an upper floor of a facing building, was doing homework about 12:30 p.m. when he heard a commotion near the swimming pool.

A family was scurrying away from the pool, he said, as sirens approached, and police and paramedics came in a rush. The man’s name and age were not released.

“We’re conducting an investigation at this point to determine whether it’s suicide or whether he fell,” said Detective John White.

The man was dead when paramedics arrived, said Assistant Denver Fire Chief Joe Hart.
