DENVER—Two judges on the 19-member Colorado Court of Appeals are retiring.
Court officials said Sandra I. Rothenberg and JoAnn L. Vogt are stepping down effective Jan. 13.
Rothenberg has served on the appeals court since August 1990. Previously, she was a Denver District Court judge, worked in private practice and taught at the Georgetown Law Center.
Vogt was named to the appeals court in December 1997. Before that she was in private practice, served as law clerk to Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice Joseph R. Quinn and taught German in college.
Gov. Bill Ritter will chose among nominees selected by a commission to fill the vacancies.
Appeals court judges are paid $134,128 a year.
