The seventh of eight pit bull puppies stolen from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley shelter was found Saturday at an apartment on Broadway, police said.
The puppies were taken from the shelter on June 17. A tip from the public led police to investigate. A microchip implanted in the pup confirmed its identity.
No charges have yet been filed.
A black puppy named Mojo is still at large.
“Through the actions of concerned citizens and the commitment of the detectives involved all but one of the stolen puppies have been safely returned and we are hopeful we can locate Mojo as well,” Lisa Pedersen, CEO of the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, said in a statement.
All of the puppies that have been recovered have been adopted. Meadow will up for adoption in the next few days.
Anyone with information about Mojo can call Boulder Detective Ruth Christopher at 303-441-3300.
