EAGLE, Colo.—Eagle County sheriff’s officials have arrested a Gypsum man accused of making and selling false Social Security cards and work visas.

Sheriff’s officials say 34-year-old Jamie Antonio Valencia-Duron faces felony charges of forgery and criminal possession of forged instruments. He was free on a $2,500 bond Wednesday.

Investigators say they were tipped off by an anonymous caller. They say “numerous” fraudulent documents were seized during the investigation.

Sheriff’s officials say Valencia-Duron allegedly told authorities he had been making the documents for about one year and had averaged 10 documents a week at $50 apiece in recent months.

He is due in court July 14.
