NORTHGLENN, Colo.—Northglenn police say a pedestrian died after he was struck in a crosswalk, and a driver has been arrested.
Police say 55-year-old Neal Elke was struck Wednesday night by a pickup driven by 24-year-old Joel Smith.
Elke, of Northglenn, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Smith was held for investigation of vehicular homicide, failing to yield to a pedestrian and driving under the influence.
Smith lives in Thornton. No phone listing could be found for him.
