It took a SWAT team to dislodge some Broomfield thieves from their home after they fled a neighbor’s house with an air conditioner and other stolen goods.

After a light came on at a house in the 200 block of Laurel Street at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, the residents woke to find an unknown man in the home.

He fled and they called police. A witness told the police two men had run from the home, one of them carrying an air conditioner, and that they had entered a nearby home.

“Police made many attempts to contact the males but they refused to come to the door. Approximately two hours after the burglary was reported, a male opened a bedroom door but still refused to come outside,” according to a Broomfield police news release.

A SWAT team was called in to execute a search warrant, and at 8:25 a.m. four people emerged from the house and were taken into custody.

“They lived there — there were three guys and one girl,” said Broomfield police spokeswoman Sgt. Colleen O’Connell. “The one guy and the girl didn’t really have much to do with it — it was the two guys who did the burglary.”

Danny Armijo, 28, and Thomas Fallon, 33, both of Broomfield, were arrested on charges of 2nd degree burglary, theft, identity theft, conspiracy and failure to vacate.

Nicole Coleman, 25, of Broomfield, and David Herrera, 27, Denver, were charged with failure to vacate premises.
