COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The El Paso County sheriff’s office says fire crews are battling as many as four separate blazes burning south of the Colorado Springs Airport.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Lt. Lari Sevene says the estimated area burned so far is 100 feet by 20 feet. The fire has prompted road closures on northbound Powers Boulevard and Grinnel Boulevard. Both were closed at Bradley Road.

The fire started at about 1 p.m. It was not immediately known if there were evacuations.
