A man and woman were killed when the speeding motorcycle they were on slammed into a curb and threw them into trees late last night in Greenwood Village, police say.

The accident happened at 11 p.m. near Del Frisco’s steak house on the 6000 block of S. Willow Drive, according to Lt. Ed Rossmeisl of the Greenwood Village Police Department.

The man was speeding north on South Willow Drive when he lost control of the motorcycle on a curve, hit a curb and was thrown along with his female passenger into trees in the median, Rossmeisl said.

Efforts to revive the two accident victims at the scene were unsuccessful, he said.

The identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of their family members by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office, Rossmeisl said.

The accident is still under investigation, he said.
