Colorado’s mountain casinos posted a 12 percent drop in revenue in June, continuing a year-long slide, according to Division of Gaming data released today.

The state’s 42 casinos recorded adjusted gross proceeds — which is total bets minus payouts — of $60.6 million in June, down from $68.9 million during the same month a year ago. Black Hawk’s 19 casinos had revenue of $42.1 million, Cripple Creek’s 17 casinos posted $12.8 million and Central City’s 6 casinos had $5.7 million.

The mountain casino industry has recorded declines in revenue every month this year, stung by the smoking ban, a slowing economy and high gas prices.
