PITTSBURGH — A baby boy who was cut from his slain mother’s womb has been released from a western Pennsylvania hospital.
A spokeswoman for West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh confirmed Tuesday the baby had been released but would not say where the child was taken.
Andrea Curry-Demus is charged with homicide, kidnapping and related offenses in an alleged plot to steal the baby. Police say they found the body of the child’s mother, 18-year-old Kia Johnson, bound in the 38-year-old Curry-Demus’ home last week.
The family has named the boy Terrell Kian Johnson, after his mother.
