GREELEY, Colo.—A new bus service has begun between Greeley and Loveland, with hourly trips along U.S. 34 and a dozen stops between the two cities.
The service, called the 34 Xpress, is a two-year pilot program launched by the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Greeley transit services manager Brad Patterson says officials are aiming for 20 riders an hour to make the route successful during the pilot period. He says 35 to 40 percent of Greeley workers leave have jobs outside the city.
The ride will cost $2 each way starting Sept. 1, but it’s free in August.
