A man and his girlfriend have been charged in connection with the death of the man’s mother, the Denver district attorney’s office announced today.
The victim was identified as 65-year-old Darlene Quintanilla, who was allegedly physically abused by her son, Christopher Quintanilla, 43.
Quintanilla has been charged with negligence resulting in serious bodily injury.
His girlfriend, Catherine Nieto, 42, is charged with negligence resulting in death.
Both are scheduled to appear tomorrow in Denver County Court to be advised of the charges.
