COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police say they have arrested two Fort Carson soldiers suspected in a June double homicide.

Arrested Wednesday were 24-year-old Jomar Dionisio Falu-Vives and 20-year-old Rudolfo Torres-Gandarilla. Police say they are suspected of killing 18-year-old Amairany Cervantes and 21-year-old Cesar Javier Ramirez while the victims were hanging garage sale signs at an intersection.

Falu-Vives faces a first-degree murder charge, and Torres-Gandarilla faces a charge of accessory to first-degree murder.

Police say both were already in custody on accusations that they shot and wounded another soldier, Zachary Szody, while he walked on a street in Colorado Springs.

Police say Falu-Vives and Torres-Gandarilla both are active Army soldiers stationed at Fort Carson.
