The more than 84,000 people who came to Invesco Field at Mile High to hear Barack Obama’s acceptance speech briefly clogged the exits and caused backups on surrounding roads, but the exodus was accomplished without incident.

The Bronco Bridge leading to the RTD light rail station was backed up for a time as hundreds of people headed for the train.

At one point, getting across the bridge required 30 minutes. But by 10:40 p.m., crowds had thinned, and trains were moving swiftly.

As promised by the Secret Service, Interstate 25 opened soon after Obama finished his speech, and traffic there is flowing normally at 10:15 p.m.
