CANON CITY, Colo.—Florence police have arrested an employee of the Florence-Penrose School District on suspicion of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.
Thirty-nine-year-old Stephanie Kay Bellino was being held on a $50,000 cash bond Sunday. She is employed in the front office of Fremont Middle School.
The department received information about Bellino on August 14th.
Chief Timothy Bell says police received information from “concerned people.” He would not elaborate.
An investigation is ongoing.
