JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 13-year-old girl was hit by a Cadillac in front of Ken Caryl Middle School on Thursday morning.

The girl, Danielle K. Barker, suffered serious injuries. She was hit in a designated crosswalk, according to the State Patrol.

Danielle was rushed to Littleton Adventist Hospital then transported by helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Aurora.

The Cadillac’s driver, 24-year-old Dustin Wert of Littleton, has not been charged in the incident, which is still under investigation.
