The Denver medical examiner’s office identified the man gunned down near Curtis Park on Tuesday evening as 35-year-old Quincy Henderson of Denver.
Henderson was involved in a fight with another man, who pulled a pistol and shot Henderson several times.
The shooter got away, and police were trying to develop a description of him and talk to numerous witnesses Wednesday, said police Detective Sharon Hahn.
“We believe there were numerous witnesses, because this happened at a park,” Hahn said.
Henderson was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center, where he died.
