A 29-year-old Denver man has been arrested by the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office after a drug sting.
Jared Christiansen was contacted by an undercover officer posing as a drug buyer. According to officers, Christiansen agreed to meet the detective and sell him 100 ecstasy tablets for $850.
Officers said when Christiansen and the officer met, the suspect tried to steal the money and then fled.
Christiansen is being held in the Eagle County Detention Facility on a $50,000 bond. He is charged with intent to distribute a controlled substance; a class 4 felony, and resisting arrest, a class 2 misdemeanor.
Authorities said Christiansen previously was arrested for sale of ecstasy in Florida, and is on probation for a domestic violence charge in Jefferson County.
