ALAMOSA, Colo.—A cement truck driver convicted in a fatal collision has been ordered to carry a photo of the victim for 18 months.

Danny Cruz was convicted of careless driving after his truck rammed two cars in a dust storm near the southern Colorado town of Alamosa in June 2007. Megan Fahrenkrug was killed and two people in the other car were injured.

At the request of Fahrenkrug’s family, a judge on Wednesday ordered Cruz to keep the 22-year-old woman’s photo in his wallet.

Cruz was also ordered to serve 90 days in jail with work release, serve 18 months of probation, perform 200 hours of community service and pay nearly $3,200 to a victim compensation fund.

His attorney, Patrick Hayes, did not immediately return a call Friday.
