A man who allegedly fired multiple shots into a car last week in Westminster, killing a man and injuring a woman, has been charged with first-degree murder.
Charged with 10 counts is Michael Bohlen, 30, who prosecutors allege killed Benjamin Thomas, 30, and wounded Jennifer Ames, 28, at about 2:30 a.m. on Friday at West 72nd Avenue and Federal Boulevard.
Thomas was shot in the head and died the next day. Ames was shot in the chest but is expected to survive.
A third person, Joseph Thomas, 37, also was in the car that was fired at but was not hurt.
Bohlen faces multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder. He also is charged with first-degree assault, vehicular eluding, possession of a weapon by a previous offender and a crime of violence.
Bohlen is being held without bail and will be advised of the charges at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in Adams County District Court.
