WESTMINSTER — A man who allegedly fired multiple shots into a car last week in Westminster, killing a man and injuring a woman, has been charged with first-degree murder.
Charged with 10 counts is Michael Bohlen, 30, who prosecutors say killed Benjamin Thomas, 30, and wounded Jennifer Ames, 28, about 2:30 a.m. Friday at West 72nd Avenue and Federal Boulevard.
Thomas was shot in the head and died the next day. Ames was shot in the chest and is expected to survive.
A third person in the car was not hurt.
Bohlen faces multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder. He also is charged with first-degree assault, vehicular eluding, possession of a weapon by a previous offender and a crime of violence.
He is being held without bail.
