have been making a lot of noise in the regional music scene lately, and with good reason: the Denver band’s loose, angular, acoustic sound is a refreshing change from the U2-aping wall of sound approach many rock acts have adopted. That made them appropriate openers for eclectic Minneapolis collective .

And when we say “collective,” we mean it. The green rockers back up their environmentally-friendly ethos with carbon offsets, recycling initiatives and a host of partnerships. Of course, the main draw is the band’s unpredictable mix of indie rock, chamber pop and folk. Reverb contributor caught them at the on Sept. 12. Check out his photo essay below.
