DENVER—Sen. Ken Salazar’s office says a vote on two nominees to fill vacancies on the U.S. District Court in Denver is now expected to be held Thursday.

The Senate Judiciary Committee was originally expected to vote last Thursday on the nominations of Philip Brimmer and Christine Arguello (ar-GWAY-oh) to the court, but that was delayed.

The full Senate would still have to vote on the nominations, if the committee approves them.

Arguello and Brimmer’s nominations had been mired in a dispute between Salazar, a Democrat, and Colorado Sen. Wayne Allard, a Republican. They set aside the disagreement earlier this month.
