The Colorado women’s soccer team, off to its second- best start in team history, jumped up three spots to No. 18 in the NSCAA Division I coaches poll Tuesday.

Notre Dame remained No. 1 in the poll, followed by UCLA. Texas A&M moved up one spot to No. 7 and was joined by No. 9 Texas, No. 12 Oklahoma State, Colorado and No. 25 Kansas as representatives of the Big 12. CU (7-1-1) has won seven consecutive matches.

The University of Denver, which swept Fresno State and Gonzaga in the CU-hosted Colorado Classic last weekend, was among 16 unranked teams that also received votes in the poll. The Pioneers are 7-1-1.

• The Fort Lewis men’s soccer team (4-1-1) moved up one spot to No. 6 in the NSCAA Division II coaches poll. Metro State (5-1-1) also moved up, to No. 16. Colorado Mines was among three unranked teams also receiving votes.

• No. 11 Metro State (6-1-2) is the highest-ranked Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team in the women’s NSCAA Division II coaches poll. Regis was one of nine unranked teams also receiving votes.
